“Equip God’s people with his Word of faith, show them their spiritual weapons, teach them to use them and send them out in victorious battle for the Lord”.

With these words as both a vision and mission statement Ulf Ekman founded Word of Life’s work, and the Word of Life Bible Centre, in 1983. This vision has formed the basis for the Bible School ever since.

The main areas of emphasis in the teaching at WLBC are, amongst others:

Faith

All the teaching you will receive at Word of Life Bible Centre takes place in a faith-filled environment.

The supernatural will become real for you – something that actually works in your everyday life. When you dare to trust and put your faith in God, you will discover that there are no longer any limits as to what can happen! You will study, amongst other subjects, ‘Overcoming Faith’, ‘Righteousness’, ‘The Character of God”, and ‘The Authority of the Believer’.

Your personal walk with God

To be able to live an active, fruitful, ‘outer’ life, you must have a strong ‘inner life’ underpinning it. Our primary calling as children of God is to exalt, love, honour and worship God, and when we do that, the kind of ‘outer’ life we strive for will become a visible reality.

During the year at Bible School, God will work with you on a deep level and help you develop a relationship with Him, both through His Word and through prayer. You will learn more about this in the lessons on ‘Prayer’,’ The Holy Spirit and His gifts’, ‘The Bible’, ‘Jesus’ Life and Ministry’, etc.

Missions work

Missions work is a key element of the Bible school. To give you a taste for the fantastic adventure that the Great Commission involves, you will receive much teaching in how to share your faith effectively with others, both in theory and practice, and particularly through the study of subjects such as ‘Evangelism’, ‘Defending the Faith’, ‘Preaching and Teaching’ and ‘Missions’.

In addition, you will study exciting and interesting topics such as “Family and relationships’, ‘Israel’, ‘Pastoral Care’, ‘Stewardship’, etc., There will also be the opportunity to choose and focus on other areas that are of particular interest to you as an individual.

»God has brought so many new customers to my business during the Bible school year. Almost too many to handle, but praise God for that! He is so good!«
