Livets Ord Bible Center is Scandinavia’s most popular Bible school, with over 10,000 graduated students. Here, Jesus is at the center, we preach the living Word of God, and we believe that the Holy Spirit wants to work through every believer.
We believe that everything begins with prayer. That’s why every day at LOBC starts at 08:30 with 45 minutes of prayer and worship – definitely a great way to start the day! After this, we split into three different classes: the first-year Swedish-speaking and international class, and the second-year class. The mornings consist of lessons covering relevant topics, well-grounded in the Word of God.
In some subjects, you will also have the opportunity to deepen your understanding by reading books written by well-known teachers and preachers. The official Bible school day ends at 11:50, but there is also the option to join the Prayer School, which starts at 12:30. Here, you will spend an hour praying for up-to-date prayer requests and spend time with Jesus.

Prayer & Fellowship
At the beginning of the year, you will be assigned to a prayer group that meets once a week for prayer and fellowship. This creates a safe environment where you can support one another, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversations. A broader sense of community also exists, with activities such as barbecues, movie nights, and competition days. And let’s not forget the coffee breaks in our cozy café, where you’ll have the opportunity to get to know both teachers and students from all sorts of places and countries – from Lapland to Mexico.

Mission
There are several highlights during the Bible school, and the mission trip is one of them. You will have the opportunity to experience a ten-day mission trip to a country in Europe during your first year. If you choose to continue for another year, there are additional mission trips available, both within Scandinavia and to other countries around the world.

Being part of a ministry team is the best way to become a part of the church and get to know people. At the same time you will grow in your gifts – or maybe learn something new!
Diploma
Make the Most of Your Time at LOBC
To ensure you get the most out of your year at LOBC, we have mandatory attendance, which is registered every morning. There will also be a small exam at the end of each subject. To pass a subject, you must have sufficient attendance and pass the exam.
At the end of the year, you will receive a diploma and a grade summary, which you can use when applying if you wish to continue to year two. Year two is also a so-called “Folkhögskola” course in collaboration with Umeå Folkhögskola, making the studies eligible for student financial support(CSN). To help you dive deeper into the Word, you will also receive a Bible reading plan that you are expected to follow throughout the year.
