Introduction
This is Word of Life Bible Center
Word of Life Bible Center is Scandinavia’s most popular bible school with more than 10 000 graduated students. We put Jesus in the center, preach the living Word of God and believe that the Holy Spirit wants to work through every believer.
We believe that everything starts in prayer, and so, we start every day at WLBC at 8 AM with 45 minutes of prayer and worship – no doubt a great start to the day. After this, we divide into three classes (1st year classes, one Swedish class and one English class, and the 2nd year class) and have three lessons with teaching on various subjects, founded on the Bible. Along with the teaching, you get to dive deeper into several of the subjects through books written by acknowledged teachers and preachers. The bible school day officially ends at 11:40 AM, but for those who wish to stay, we continue with prayer school at 12:30 where we for one hour spend time in worship, prayer and intercession.

At the start of the school year you will also be given a prayer group that gathers one evening every week for prayer and fellowship. This will give you a safe environment where you can support each other, build each other up, ask questions and have discussions. There is also a broader fellowship with events like barbeques, movie nights and activity days as well as the famous Swedish “fika” breaks between lessons. Here you can grab a coffee in our lovely café and get to know both teachers and students from all over the place – from northern Sweden to Mexico.

There are a number of highlights throughout the bible school year, among which are our streams where you during a two-week period get to focus on one of five subjects of your choice. During the first year you will also experience a ten-day mission trip to a European country, and if you continue on to the second year, you’ll get several opportunities to do missions both in Scandinavia and the rest of the world.

WLBC is a bible school planted in the middle of a thriving church where you are more than welcome to involve yourself in everything that’s happening so this can become your home during your time in bible school. The best way to do this is through joining one of the many different teams in the church. This way you’ll get to know new people while also growing in your gifts, or perhaps learning something completely new!
Diploma
A maxed out year
In order for you to get the most out of your year at WLBC, we have a compulsory attendance that is registered every morning. There will also be a test/quiz at the end of each topic. To pass a subject you must have sufficient attendance and pass the exam. At the end of the school year, you will receive a diploma and a grade. This will be useful if you want to continue with year 2. To help you dive into the Word, you will also receive a Bible reading plan that you are expected to follow during the year.
