Residence Permit

Residence permit for LOBC students

Residence Permit

Word of Life is a private school that is not registered as school in the Swedish school system, and it is not classed as a higher education. Therefore you need to apply for a “visitor’s permit” for a visit of more than 90 days for LOBC year 1. For LOBC year 2, that is connected to a Swedish state system, you should apply for a residence permit of “other studies”.

Before you start the process, make sure you read these pages on your requirements in order to apply for a residence permit:

Year 1

https://www.migrationsverket.se/English/Private-individuals/Visiting-Sweden/Visit-Sweden-for-more-than-90-days.html

Important! Under the button “visiting Sweden as a tourist” you find the updated amount of money per day that you need to have on your bank account when you apply in order to be accepted.

Year 2

https://www.migrationsverket.se/English/Private-individuals/Studying-in-Sweden/Other-studies.html#regler

Important! Under the question “You must be able to support yourself” you can see the updated amount of money per month you need to have on your bank account when you apply in order to be accepted.

FOR BOTH APPLICATION VERSIONS you need to get an “Admission letter” instead of our regular “Acceptance letter”. If you have received an “Acceptance letter” only, please ask us for the “Admission letter” for students applying for a residence permit.
