Continue your studies at WLBC
The second year at WLBC is a continuation course, and is designed for you who have already done the first year at WLBC and feel like you want to immerse yourself even more and take new steps into practical leadership within church or missions.
The school day during the second year is structurally the same as in the first year, with prayer and worship in the morning, three lessons and the opportunity to join prayer school. However, the content of the lessons has a different emphasis than during the first year. Beyond diving deeper into the biblical texts, you’ll also have practical teaching in leadership, diaconal ministry and missions among other things.
Depending on what you’re passionate about, you can choose between two different orientations for the second year: Church or Missions. The orientation you choose affects your practice, your mentor and your mission trip.

Church or Missions
The above-mentioned practice consists of every second-year student receiving an area within church or missions where they help out with different tasks one afternoon every week together with a supervisor. This way you get an insight and experience in an area you’re interested in, for instance children’s ministry, worship or the refugee-work.
Learn from those who’s ahead
All second-year students also receive a mentor to meet with in a mentoring group of three to five people to build fellowship, ask questions and generally draw wisdom from the experiences of the mentor. The mentors are ministers who have worked within church or missions during many years.
Spread the gospel to the world’s end
Missions is generally a central part of the second year at WLBC. This is most clearly manifested through the three-week mission trip during November where you get to travel together with a team to a country either in Europe or the rest of the world. What countries are available varies each year, but some examples of earlier destinations are Mexico, Uganda, Mongolia and India. During the spring you are then able to choose missions-stream with more missions practice, or church-stream with internship in a Scandinavian church,
The second year is an intense course where a lot happens, but despite this we still see year upon year that the graduating students don’t only leave with a toolbox crammed full of tools, but that they’ve grown both in their relationship with God and with each other. Through the second year, you get to take bigger steps in faith and experience God’s faithfulness, an experience that will leave a valuable impression on your life.
